Job Description
Located in Harley, ON. (between Brantford and Woodstock)
The Quality Control Inspector works closely with management in order to conduct reviews and reports of projects, all while ensuring CPCI/CSA/ACI compliance. The Quality Control Inspector also provides guidance to employees and students ensuring continuous improvement in relation to their tasks at hand.
Straight night shift position. Hours are 5pm-5am Monday-Thursday.
$3.50/hr shift premium will be added to starting wage.
THE DAY TO DAY
- Sample, inspect, and test concrete and raw materials at plants
- Perform pre-pour inspections of products to ensure components are built to the drawing specifications
- Perform post-pour inspections to determine the quality of the finished product
- Complete cleaning and maintenance of pre-stressing equipment as required
- Maintain daily records of all data
- Perform administrative duties of value-added products
- Develop technical reports and analysis of concrete quality
- Follow all necessary health & safety directives in accordance with legislative requirements
- Work with managers to conduct project specification reviews and mix design reviews
- Communicate and train quality processes and procedures to production employees
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Analyze data and provides well supported and applicable recommendations for action
- Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to students
- Ensure CPCI/CSA/ACI compliance: reviews and monitors field compliance with CSA/PCI standards
- Assist Managers and Supervisors with various tasks
- Perform all other duties required by management

- Understanding and reading of specifications and blue prints is essential
- Knowledge of concrete mix designs and sieve analysis an asset
- Familiar with CSA, PCI or equivalent standards is an asset
- Experience with repair procedures
- Excellent communication skills
