Job Description
Total Swine Genetics is a well-established boar stud located in Tillsonburg, Ontario with a great team. We house boars (male pigs) for our genetic partners and collect semen that is sold to our customers across Southwestern Ontario. Our barn team is in charge of the overall health and wellbeing of the boars and for collecting semen on our 3 production days each week-Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
We are looking for a university or college student to work 3 production days each week.
Duties:
-Feeding boars
-Moving boars from their pens to the collecting area
-Moving boars from the collecting area back to their pens
-Collect from boars
-Running collections to the lab
-Pressure washing and maintaining barn cleanliness
Shift details:
Shifts begin at 5:00 am and end when production ends, generally between 12:00-3:00 pm
Shifts would be every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Education
Experience Required
We are looking for a university or college student to work 3 production days each week.
Requirements:
-Must have a valid license and reliable transportation to work
-Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn
-Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
