We’re a small, family-owned, hardworking construction company looking for a reliable, hands-on Skilled Labourer to join our crew. We specialize in pre-engineered steel and fabric-covered structures across Southwestern Ontario.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist with the assembly and installation of steel, wood, and fabric structures
- Use hand and power tools
- Load/unload materials
- Maintain clean, safe job sites
- Support the crew with daily construction tasks
- Follow instructions from supervisors and project managers
As part of our installation crew, you’ll help build structures from the ground up, working with (but not limited to):
- Augers & post pounders to install ground anchors and posts
- Skid steers and telehandlers to move materials and position frames
- Impact guns, wrenches, power drills, and angle grinders for assembly
- Leveling equipment, tape measures, and chalk lines to ensure proper alignment
- Scaffolding, man lifts, and ladders for safe work at heights
- Steel framing, trusses, and tensioning cables for the structure itself
- Heavy-duty fabric or cladding for roofing and siding
Education
Experience Required
Ideal Candidate:
- 2+ years of experience in construction and building installation (preferred)
- Understands the requirements of steel framing as well as wood framing - residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural
- Skilled in power tools and comfortable working at heights
- Understands measurements and how to interpret blueprints
- Physically strong, able to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
- Willing to travel to job sites wihtin Ontario (some overnights with accommodations paid for)
- MUST have a valid G2 or G license with own reliable transportation
- Safety certifications (Working at Heights, WHMIS) are a big plus
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
