The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and executing all shipping and receiving operations for IMT Precision. Shipping & Receiving Coordinators are responsible for all records concerning material movements, shipment paperwork (packing slips, BOL’s, SDR’s) and commercial invoices and customs documents.
Responsibilities:
- Generate, verify and ensure accuracy of all local and cross-border shipments, documentation and submissions for carriers, customs broker(s).
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of paperwork, and data entry into DAX system and other shipment platforms.
- Verify packing slips, shipment paperwork and physical checks of goods received and communicate discrepancies with inventory and purchasing teams, and other appropriate parties, in a timely manner.
- Consult with the inventory team regarding any shipping discrepancies or concerns.
- Timely and accurate booking of carriers, and accuracy of supporting documentation.
- Execution of all shipment related tasks including completion of paperwork, determining final weights and dimensions for outbound shipments, maintenance and submission of all documentation related to shipments.
- Accurate data entry and maintenance of all logs related to inbound/outbound shipments.
- Follow all work instructions and process maps related to Shipping & Receiving.
- Communicate effectively with all internal departments to resolve issues related to shipments and deliveries.
- Schedule and track shipments, ensuring optimal route and timely delivery.
- Timely communication and escalation of any delays or issues relating to inbound/outbound shipments.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies relating to all shipping and receiving operations.
- Oversee preparation of shipments in accordance with company work instructions and processes.
- Coordinate loading/unloading and monitor shunt truck daily schedule to ensure effective time management of driver.
- Monitor and track all trailers used for shunting and storage on site.
- Create and maintain a daily schedule for all inbound/outbound shipments and communicate with relevant departments daily to ensure shipments are ready on schedule.
- Prepare any materials for return as directed by purchasing.
- Monitor loading and unloading of trucks by Material Handlers to ensure safety protocols, loading instructions and company processes are followed. Verify all FGI is loaded with accuracy and aligns with paperwork.
Education
Experience Required
Education/Experience Requirements:
Post-Secondary an asset in Trade Compliance/Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum 3-5 years of related experience.
