Job Title: Administrative & Production Assistant
Location: Ingersoll Ontario– On-site at G&L Printing Services
Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week (Monday to Thursday)
Compensation: $19–$23.50/hour (depending on experience)


G&L Printing Services is looking for an Administrative & Production Assistant to join our team and help keep operations running smoothly across shipping, receiving, production, and sales. Reporting to the Coordinator of Marketing & Operations, you’ll be provided with training and support to succeed in this dynamic role.
This isn’t a sit-at-your-desk job — you’ll be on your feet, on the move, and always in the middle of the action. As the key link between customers, production, and sales, your communication skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail will be critical.


What You’ll Do
● Act as the integrator between customers, production, and sales to keep workflows on track
● Manage shipping and receiving of all goods and supplies with urgency and accuracy
● Create, review, and process purchase orders (POs); place orders for supplies and inventory
● Prepare and issue work orders for production staff
● Support the production team directly as needed, wearing multiple hats to help where required
● Provide accurate quotes using company price lists and quoting/proofing software
● Process incoming orders, including artwork and supply coordination
● Pick, pack, and ship client orders with strong attention to detail
● Organize and improve warehouse systems, including implementing a WMS
● Coordinate carriers and ensure shipments are prepared and sent on time
● Maintain organized records and assist with general administrative tasks
● Support digital print production, including coordinating print and bindery for customer jobs
● Manage accounts receivable, including sending notices for payment
● Adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced demands throughout the day

 

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Qualifications
● Post-secondary education in Administration, Communications, or a related field would be an asset
● Proven experience in administration, order/shipping management, or production support in a small business environment
● A quick learner who is tech-savvy and can adapt to multiple software platforms
● Excellent communication skills — able to keep customers, production, and sales aligned
● Comfortable working on your feet all day in a hands-on, fast-moving environment
● Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
● Ability to multitask, prioritize, and wear multiple hats to keep operations flowing
● A team player with demonstrated success in similar roles
● A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
● Experience with WMS, quoting software, or digital print production is an asset

Wage Details

$19 - $23.5 per hour
