Toyota Tsusho Canada, Inc. (TTCI) located in Woodstock, ON is expanding and looking to fill the position of Assistant Operations Manager to join our team.
This position would be responsible for the following (non-inclusive) duties:
- Coordinate, manage and monitor the various departments within the warehouse by utilizing company policies and procedures to assist in the communication of company expectations
- Coordinate and monitor key performance indicators (FMDS) for the safety, quality, 5s and productivity of the warehouse and develop and implement processes to optimize these areas of performance
- Organize and monitor that the Toyota Tsusho Global Standards for 5s, Safety, and Quality are followed and maintained throughout the facility
- Manage the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) and ensure readiness for both OHSMS and Global Standards Audits
- Analyze data to improve quality and implement improvements
- Support, train and develop Team Members within their positions, including coaching, counselling, and corrective action of Team Members
- Support the Operations Manager in overseeing section business activities
- Supervise Customer Service activities and develop strategies to improve TTCI customer relations
- Assist the Operations Manager with new business development as required
- Perform the role of Operations Manager to cover any absences as needed. Duties to include signing of required forms, invoices and other documents as authorized
- Provide performance management to the team by way of reviews, counseling, objective/goal setting, etc.
- Work with teams to achieve continuous improvement in functions, processes and procedures and promote the group Kaizen program
- All other duties as assigned
Education
Experience Required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of a post-secondary program in business and/or relevant experience; experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years of supervisory involvement
- Must have a firm working knowledge of, and experience with, Section business practices and Toyota Tsusho business methods
- Highly knowledgeable with MS office, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with JDA/Blue Yonder/Enterprise 1 systems considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge with KPA reporting system considered an asset
- Must have a valid driver’s license
