Ready to lead a talented finance team and make a real difference? Execulink Telecom is looking for an Accounting Manager to take charge of our financial operations—from managing the books and preparing reports to ensuring everything’s accurate and compliant.

Position Details:

  • Required to work in office a minimum of 3 days per week

  • Flexibility may be required outside of core business hours, based on business demands to fulfil responsibilities of the role

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and compliance with ASPE.
  • Manage and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring variances are clearly analyzed and explained.
  • Lead the preparation of year-end financial statements and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Act as administrator for key financial systems (e.g., Sage 300, DocLink, Dayforce, and credit card programs).
  • Support regulatory and statutory reporting (e.g., CRTC, Statistics Canada, etc.)
  • Partner with all areas of the business to connect financial data with operational drivers, uncover insights, and identify innovative opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with managers and executives across departments to provide forward-looking financial analysis, scenario modeling, and decision support.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations that align with company strategy and performance goals.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reports that empower leaders to make proactive, well-informed decisions.
  • Add value through curiosity and critical thinking by asking the right questions, identifying trends, and recommending improvements that strengthen financial and operational outcomes.
  • Actively contribute to business initiatives, special projects, and process improvements that enhance profitability and scalability.
  • Develop and manage robust cash flow projections and working capital analyses to ensure financial stability and agility.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to foster trust, collaboration, and shared accountability for results.
  • Evaluate and enhance accounting processes, ensuring continuous improvement in quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Lead and support special projects such as system upgrades, process automation, or financial reporting enhancements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices relevant to accounting and telecom

HR Responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership to a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Hire, train, develop, and, when necessary, transition staff to ensure the right mix of talent and capability within the team.
  • Serve as a hands-on manager—step in to perform or support various accounting functions during peak periods or absences.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and lead ongoing training to enhance technical and professional growth.

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • CPA designation (or in progress) strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles (ASPE) and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong proficiency with Sage 300, DocLink, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in change management, team development, and process improvement.
  • Valid Class G driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
