Produce Express, one of Woodstock’s fastest-growing companies, is searching for a detail-oriented and motivated Inventory Lead to join our team.

In this lead role, you’ll oversee accurate inventory counts, maintain strict quality standards, and guide smooth day-to-day operations within the warehouse, helping drive efficiency and excellence across the team.

Job responsibilities:

Inventory Team Leadership

  • Direct all inventory team members.
  • Provide feedback and accountability to the inventory team.
  • Responsible for the work of the inventory team.

Inventory Management

  • Track and manage stock levels.
  • Use FIFO (First In, First Out) to reduce waste.
  • Perform regular stock counts and address discrepancies.

Receiving and Inspection

  • Check incoming produce for quality and quantity.
  • Record deliveries into the system.
  • Report any issues with deliveries (damaged, short, etc.).

Stock Counts and Audits

  • Conduct regular stock audits and compare with system records.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found during audits.

Waste Management

  • Track expiration dates and reduce waste.
  • Rotate stock regularly and manage products near expiry.
  • Report damaged or spoiled goods and dispose of them properly.

Team Coordination

  • Work with procurement team to manage stock.
  • Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure proper usage and rotation.

May include other duties that are assigned based on the needs of the team.

Education

Not Applicable

Experience Required

  • Forklift certification is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
