(TDMH) Cleaner

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Cleaner position in our Support Services department.

The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital

Position Summary:

Perform necessary cleaning duties as required with the objective of maintaining the hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep assigned areas clean by scouring, scrubbing, mopping, polishing, stripping, sealing, buffing and finishing.
• Use housekeeping equipment as required and described in the departmental procedures.
• Prepare cleaning solutions as required by procedures and manufacturer's instructions.
• Remove waste from designated areas.
• Inclement weather and exterior duties as assigned.
• Ensures patient safety and infection prevention and control relating to the position.

Qualifications Required:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent acceptable to the Hospital.
• Physically able to perform the requirements of the job.
• Able to perform cleaning duties as required, in a clean, sanitary and orderly manner
• Computer knowledge and proficiency preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Other pertinent conditions:

• Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($28.86 per hour to $29.55 per hour)

Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shifts. Hours are subject to change based on operation needs of the hospital.
