Who We Are
In 2015 the Oxford Pride Committee evolved from the Oxford County Rainbow Coalition . The Oxford County Pride Committee is comprised of 2SLGBTQIA+ community members and allies. The objective of our committee is to develop an artistic and cultural Pride celebration. We recognize diversity of gender throughout Oxford County. In doing so, the Pride Committee highlights organizations, business’, services and opportunities that support and promote positive outcomes for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and Allies
Our Mission
The mission of the Oxford County Pride Committee is to make Oxford County inclusive, diverse and safe for the 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals within our community. Through education and advocacy our goal is to dispel and eliminate cissexism and heterosexism creating a safer and more inclusive community in which to live or visit.
- Organize annual Pride celebrations/events recognizing diversity of identity in Oxford County
- Encourage and facilitate the development of events celebrating Oxford County’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
- Maintain and present the “Tyrell Maas Pride Leadership Award”. Awarded to a grade 11 or 12 student from Oxford County.
