Volunteer Job Description

Go Girls and Game On are site-based group programs that follow a curriculum based on three main themes: active living, balanced eating and feeling good. Each session provides an opportunity to participate in fun, educational games and activities that encourage relationship building, self reflection and group discussion. There is so much to be gained from group programming. When children and youth interact with one another alongside peers and positive adult role models, they are able to learn from others their own age and from the mentors, all while having fun! Both programs run in local elementary schools within Oxford County and community partner agencies (Wellkin).

The programs strive to do the following:

· Incorporate active games that allow for physical activity in a fun and easy way

· Instill/teach trust, independent thinking & self-confidence to make healthy decisions

· And above all, make a difference while having fun!

THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR YOU IF...
