Job Description
Spring at the farm brings lots of opportunity for learning, maintenance and new developments
The co-op position would be great for someone looking to
- Learn about and actively participate in the care and maintence of animals and their surroundings. This will include cleaning, bedding, feeding, animal health and maintenance, care of their pastures and facilities etc
- AND/OR someone who is looking to apply their learning for the trades in maintenance, landscaping, painting, building in a unique setting that supports the animals on our agri-tourism facility. May include painting, fixing or building, demo work, working with tools and equipment (grinders, sawzall, weed eater, lawn tractor etc)
Other Requirements
Must be able to:
- get to and from the farm on own
- be able to take direction and at times work independantly
- be physically capable of standing, walking, squatting, carrying loads of up to 25kg
- be comfortable around animals and take great care in their health and wellbeing
- for (2) be comfortable and taking caution in using tools and equipment - following all safety guidelines
