Job Description

The City of Woodstock is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team on a four-month, temporary basis as the Economic Development Student. The Economic Development Student works closely with the entire Economic Development Department to build the City’s brand and advance the City’s economic development program.

The successful candidate will play an active role in day-to-day departmental activities and be responsible for maintaining statistical data which is used regularly by the department. This person will support the entire Economic Development and should expect to work with staff in other City departments as well. They will apply their academic and technical skills and will be encouraged to recommend no processes and initiatives.

Other Requirements

  • Working towards a post-secondary degree in Economic Development, Business or a related field and must be returning to school in the fall
  • Have an understanding or experience in the municipal sector.
  • Have experience using Microsoft Office as well as a Content Management System.
  • An understanding of Marketing or marketing experience would be an asset.
  • Have excellent customer service skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
