Job Description

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Carpentry Apprentice.

This position offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in various aspects of carpentry under the guidance of an experienced professional.

The schedule and number of hours per week will vary based on projects. Full-time hours are expected during the busy season, then hours are likely to move to part-time or halt during winter months. 

Duties:

  • Assist in the construction, installation and repair of structures and fixtures
  • Assist carpenter with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
  • Use and maintain hand and power tools safely
  • Prepare job sites, transport materials, and keep work areas clean
  • Follow drawings, instructions, and safety procedures
  • Support general carpentry tasks 
  • Other related duties as assigned

 

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated interest in carpentry and commitment to learning through an apprenticeship
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively and understand job‑related and safety instructions on construction sites (provided in English)
  • Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction environments is an asset
  • Ability to read measurements and drawings; blueprint reading is an asset
  • Physically capable of performing carpentry work, including lifting materials and working on your feet for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation and ability to report to job sites or the shop as required
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment

Wage Details

$20 per hour
