Hours: 40 hours per week

Work Schedule: 2-week Rotating shift (Midnights, Afternoons, Days)

Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing strong leadership and clear direction to a team of unionized maintenance employees, including millwrights, electricians, and tool room staff. This role ensures that maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and operational standards. The Supervisor manages preventative maintenance programs, coordinates repairs, and supports continuous improvement to maximize equipment uptime. Collaboration with production, engineering, quality, and external vendors is essential to ensure smooth plant operations.

Education & Experience

  • Education – Technical training or certification in a related field preferred (433A or 309A)

  • Experience – Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including work in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, and mechanics.

Working Knowledge of

  • Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

  • Preventative maintenance systems and processes

  • Maintenance management software and computerized maintenance scheduling

  • Labour relations and unionized work environment

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related regulations

  • WHMIS

Skills

  • Strong leadership, decision making, and team building skills

  • Effective communication, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in planning, organization, and time management

  • Ability to coach, train, and develop employees

  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving under pressure


 

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $88,200 - $105,000
