DZ Truck Driver

W-S Feed & Supplies Ltd. is an independently owned and operated company. As an industry leading manufacturer of livestock feed, the company is strongly committed to its values of quality and service. We offer our customers a wide variety of feeds in the Dairy, Beef, Swine and Poultry species. Manufacturing divisions within the company include Mount Forest and the head office located in Tavistock. We are currently hiring for the following position at our Tavistock location:

This position entails delivering feed out of the Tavistock location but there may be times when you may need to pick up feed at other locations or pick up ingredients from suppliers.  Shift will be on days, Monday to Friday and weekend work will be required.

Essential Duties:
*       To load and unload truck.
*       Deliver bags with bulk load when necessary.
*       To deliver feed in a safe and efficient manner.
*       Consistently portray professionalism and provide a high standard of customer service.
*       Adhere to company procedures and safety policies.
*       Help maintain a clean truck, both inside and outside.
*       To cooperate with mill workers and help in warehouse when required.
*       When necessary, help deliver feed at our other locations.


 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:        

• Must be a team player, but capable of working without supervision.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
• Ability to keep accurate records as required for government regulations.
• Willingness to work irregular hours as needed (weekends, employee absences, etc.).
• Ability to adapt to a variety of challenging work environments.
• Detail-oriented.
• Physically fit (lift at least 25 kg bags).
