Job Description

Mazerolle Builders is a family run contracting company providing quality, detail oriented service to Waterloo Region, Oxford County, and surrounding areas. We are a proud member of the Oxford County Builders Association in the dual category of builder/renovator.

We pride ourselves in doing quality work and building long term relationships with home builders, home owners and investors. We offer a variety of new construction and renovation services for both commercial and residential clients, including: general contracting, structural repairs, framing, and finishing.

We are a safety focused company that aims to work with our staff on their professional goals. We offer benefits and life insurance after 6 months of employment.

The successful candidate will be a Carpenter Journeyperson or equivalent and will have a minimum of 10 years working experience as Renovator. The Candidate will be responsible for Carpenter Helpers and Labourers and must work along side their team while fulfilling their management duties.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee, manage and participate in construction/renovation projects from start to finish
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and employees
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with management, project coordinator, architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met
- Review and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations on the construction site
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of any changes or deviations from plans
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on project status and addressing any questions or concerns

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Qualifications:

**Proven experience (min 10 years) as a Renovation Carpenter**

**Reliable Transportation**

- Previous Supervisory experience of trades and workers
- Strong knowledge of renovation construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure projects stay on schedule
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost control principles
- Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures

Experience:

  • Renovation: 5 years (required)
  • Supervising: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
  • Drivers Licence
