Job Description

Employer seeking an experienced rebar estimator in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to oversee cost control and pricing strategies. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively negotiate contracts and manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all estimates.

Duties

  • Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam to enhance estimating processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimates.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project costs.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors to secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budget adherence.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to facilitate effective pricing strategies.

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in rebar estimating, with a focus on commercial or residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with contracts, pricing strategies, and negotiation techniques.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools is preferred.
  • Prior experience working on construction sites is advantageous for understanding practical applications of estimates.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $80,000.00-$118,159.97
