About the Opportunity!

 

This existing vacancy reports to the Assembly Manager and performs specific assembly, testing and inspection tasks on saw machines, special equipment and their sub-assemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

 

  • Assemble the base for all saw machine models
  • Install the drive assemblies on all saw machine models
  • Assemble all specified sub-assembly components, including heads (except for the heads on the following models: M16/20, H40)
  • Assembles the hydraulic cylinders and Power Pak components
  • Performs all start up, test and finishing functions on all single vise saw machines 
  • Consult with supervisor (or production personnel designated by the supervisor) to resolve assembly difficulties.
  • Acquire the knowledge and expertise to meet the qualifications of the A1 assembler classification

Experience Required

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

· 

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role. 
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Two years of work experience or related work experience and/or training
  • Adaptable with a willingness to learn, grow and develop
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or within a team setting.
  • Strong tact, influencing, judgment and consultative skills
  • Aptitude for critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making

Compensation and Benefits

The Ontario pay range for this position is $ 25.86/hr + shift differential – tiered wages; bonus after probation plus increase – quarterly COLA increases! This is a position in the bargaining unit.
