At Execulink Telecom, we’re looking for an Installation & Repair Specialist to help deliver and support the services our business customers rely on every day. If you bring strong technical experience in Copper and Fibre networks, enjoy field work, and take pride in doing the job right, we want to hear from you.

In this role, you’ll be a key part of keeping our network strong and our customers supported. You’ll work on the installation, maintenance, and repair of business services, with a heavy focus on Copper and Fibre, and occasional work with Coax.

Position Details:

    • Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours as demanded by the system including early mornings and part of an on-call rotation schedule and expanded shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and uphold Execulink's Vision, Mission, and Values
  • Maintain Central Office and Remote network connections for new and repair work orders
  • Complete field work orders for new and existing Coax, Copper, FTTP, Wholesale and Fibre services
  • Provide exceptional support to our Business customers to ensure high service levels
  • Travel frequently across our coverage area for on-site visits
  • Serve as a resource for all Installation & Repair Team members (Copper, FTTH, Business, Coax, Interact with Operations, and team members to stay informed about progress and daily operations
  • Assist the Planning & Implementation Team in determining optimal solutions for customer service
  • Work with the Sales Team to provide information on current service offerings for specific locations
  • Implement and perform preventative maintenance
  • Estimate costs for service installation or repair
  • Install inside wiring and connect it to outside equipment
  • Inspect and test required hardware
  • Locate, analyze, and isolate issues affecting telephone, data, and video services
  • Repair, remove, or replace faulty equipment used to provide services
  • Promote and explain services through demonstrations and discussions during customer interactions
  • Travel to customer premises to install, test, and instruct customers on a variety of service
  • Other duties as required

Experience Required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Working knowledge of Copper, FTTH, FTTP, Wholesale Services, and Coax procedures
  • Familiarity with inside and outside plant facilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively
  • Proven ability to multitask, plan, and organize to meet deadlines
  • Effective decision-making skills with minimal supervision
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities, considering costs and benefits
  • Ability to identify complex problems and evaluate options for implementation

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Valid G Class driver's license and clean driving record
  • Capability to handle the physical demands of the role, including climbing, lifting, and working in adverse weather conditions
  • Proficient in cabling, mechanical tasks, and the use of hand and power tools
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of Wireless Broadband Networks is an asset
  • Familiarity with ADSL, VDSL, Fibre Services, and related testing equipment
  • Proven ability to identify potential problems and implement solutions independently
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong focus on customer service and clear, professional communication
