Purpose of Job:

  • The General Labourer will work with the manufacturing departments at Hydra Dyne, assisting with various tasks such as Welding, Machining, and process improvements.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Read work instructions and Narratives, work orders, production boards.
  • Load and unload parts in a safe and productive manner.
  • Inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment if any equipment needs repairs notify supervisor or maintenance department.
  • Clean and maintain machines and work areas.
  • Assist departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  • Be alert for hazards.
  • Follow safe work practices and procedures.
  • Wear all PPE
  • Work safe & ergonomically by following H&S policies.
  • Promote workplace safety.
  • Report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents across the plant.

Monday-Thursday, 10 hour shifts

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Knowledge, Skills and Education:

  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent

  • High level of detail accuracy, manual dexterity, and hand-eye co-ordination;

  • Proficient with Technology, Reading text, Document use, Numeracy.

  • Ability to work as a team/independent;

  • Ability to work in a safe and orderly manner.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written.

Wage Details

$23 - $25.5 per hour
