Hours: 40 hours per week

Work Schedule: 2-week Rotating shift (Midnights, Afternoons, Days)

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing strong leadership and clear direction to unionized employees within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that production targets are met safely and efficiently while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards. The Supervisor works closely with operations, maintenance, quality, and human resources to enforce company policies, implement improvements, and foster a safe and respectful workplace.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Industrial Management Certificate and or/Supervisor Training

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment

Knowledge

  • Manufacturing processes and machinery

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Operator Process Control (OPC)

  • Labour Relations and union environment

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related regulations

  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)

  • Familiarity with production scheduling, material flow, and operational KPI’s

Skills

  • Strong leadership, decision making, and motivational skills

  • Conflict resolution and team-building abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

  • Effective communication, both written and verbal

  • Proficient in planning, organization, and time management

  • Capable of training developing employees

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $65,200 – $92,600 base salary
