Job Description

H&R Block will be on site at Community Employment Services to discuss upcoming employment opportunities and Tax Academy training.

  • Community Employment Services-Ingersoll (Thursday August 20, 2026 9:00am-12:00pm) 

    37 Alma Street, Ingersoll, ON. Located off of the back parking lot at IDCI off of George St.

     

  • Community Employment Services-Woodstock (Thursday August 20, 2026 1:30pm-4:30pm)

    40 Metcalf Street, Woodstock, ON

 

Please drop in to speak with H&R Block representatives about a number of positions including:

CSP - Client Service Professional

 

  • Greets and welcomes each client in a cheerful and professional manner immediately as the client enters the tax office. Quickly determines the client’s service needs and assists and/or assigns the client accordingly.
  • Answers a multi-line phone system in a professional manner, providing callers with basic information about services and fees when requested. Transfers calls as needed, uses resources to relay messages to available tax Associates as necessary to fully respond to inquiries or resolve problems.  Booking and/or confirming appointments as client needs.
  • Monitors and manages client flow by multi-tasking client needs, walk in's, calls, clients waiting, advising clients of any anticipated wait time and following up when there are any expected delays.
  • Remains current with all H&R Block products and services in order to provide product information and offerings to clients. 

 

TP - Tax Professional

 

  • Conducts interviews for the purpose of preparing complete, accurate tax returns utilizing Block’s customer service and programs. Provides tax information and offers appropriate tax-saving suggestions.
  • Practices excellent client service techniques to maximize the number of new and returning clients, not limited to but including contacting prior clients through the company Client Connect as directed.
  • Completes the required documentation for E-file and Instant Refund service and delivers these services according to company procedures.

 

CSL - Client Service Leader

 

  • Shares individual and district performance goals and results with Tax Professionals
  • Monitors, evaluates, and coaches Associates to attain desired results.
  • Promotes, supports and ensures that all services and programs are offered to clients in accordance with company policies, procedures, and established targets.
  • Follows standard operating procedures for office opening and closing requirements, security, supply ordering, file maintenance, and office appearance and cleanliness.
  • Partners and participates in weekly calls with the District Manager and within Client Service Leader support resources as needed.
  • Responds in a timely manner to client service issues and/or associate relations concerns, utilizing the support of the District Manager

Tax Academy

What is it?

It is a comprehensive course that covers off most basic Income Tax situations.  People passing this course could prepare a majority of Canadian tax returns.  

What is the time commitment?

Our September course runs for three months part time.  It amounts to 6 in class hours per week (online)

What is the cost?

299.00 plus Tax

When does the course start?

We have dates starting as early as September and may be offering another into October (Octobers time commitment will require an additional 6 hours per week to meet course completion deadline).
