The Position

In our Restaurant or on the gaming floor, this individual will perform all tasks related to food and beverage service in an efficient and professional manner, while maintaining the highest calibre of customer service. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Take orders, prepare/cook food, and serve both food and beverages accurately within time guidelines
  • Proper preparation and presentation of food with strict adherence to food safety standards
  • Assist with inventory and putting away orders
  • Handle payments through the company's point-of-sale equipment adhering to the company policies
  • Handle packaging of all take-out orders ensuring they are correct before giving to guests
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
  • Constantly monitors the cleanliness and aesthetics of the dining and kitchen areas and takes action where required, including assisting patrons with menu items
  • Adhere to departmental quality standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Experience Required

  • One year experience in a food and beverage or customer service position preferred
  • Cash handling experience using POS system or cashier register preferred
  • Holds or ability to obtain a Smart Service Certification
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
  • Safe food handling course, knife handling skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment   

Compensation and Benefits

$19.82 / hour
