Job Description

NATURE AND SCOPE:

Commercial Customer Service is responsible for incoming sales orders and customer forecasts. Orders and forecasts will be sent daily by customers, either by EDI, Fax, or E-mail. It is used to receive orders and forecast information as well as advanced shipping notices for our customers. Commercial Customer Service will help and assist the customer with any and all needs. Assist in working as part of a cross-functional team to inform and communicate with all appropriate departments. Communication internally and externally is important. Assisting in keeping up on customer parts information such as, but not limited to, program information for each part, build out information, obsolete parts, and increase and/or decrease in parts at the end of production schedule.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in contract reviews in accordance with contract review procedures. Ensure all requirements identified by the customer are communicated to all departments. Maintain contract review documentation in an organized fashion to allow for efficient and convenient retrieval of the information.
  • Work with customers and Purchasing when Engineering Change Notice (ECN) is issued to establish acceptable break points. Monitor to ensure conformance of break points, control inventory levels, and minimize costs.
  • Regular review of customer orders/releases for changes and communicating these changes to the customer and to all Nifast departments.
  • Obtain forecast information from customers and distribute this information to Purchasing in an effort to maintain acceptable inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Identification of cancelled and non-carry over items for current items and communicate these issues to the Commercial Manager and Purchasing to avoid excess inventory levels. Work with Purchasing and Management with the disposition of dead stock in a timely fashion.
  • Acceptance of additional responsibilities not outlined in the job description as required by Nifast Management staff.
  • Enter Customer orders and forecast current and future.
  • Print all orders for the warehouse to pick up and ship
  • Maintain customer releases and gather forecasting for purchasing
  • Maintain all aspects of EDI (Order, Forecasting, ASN) and Parts information
  • Contact customer when part information is needed.
  • Enter and update customer contracts in Navision
  • Use Navision forecast Monitor program as needed for forecast review
  • Maintain customer file

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

  • High School Diploma required. Experience in Automotive customer service or purchasing is benefit.
  • Computer skills with MS Office and Excel.
  • Motivated/Independent worker to achieve sales and divisional/corporate goals in a timely fashion is a key attribute.
  • Understanding that situations of our customers and be able to work with customers to resolve.
  • Possess excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet quality expectations.
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Position expected to start September 1st 2026.

This is a salaried position.

 

Wage Details

$26.49 - $28 per hour
