Oxford Wood Co. is looking for a Dispatcher who can keep a busy transportation operation organized, moving, and on schedule.

If you’re someone who likes solving problems, coordinating moving pieces, talking with drivers and customers, and knowing what’s happening throughout the day, this could be the role for you.

At Oxford Wood Co., the Dispatcher is an important link between Sales, Production, Operations, customers, and our drivers. You’ll be at the centre of the action, making sure the right truck is in the right place at the right time.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Coordinate daily deliveries, pickups, and trailer movements
• Build and adjust driver schedules based on customer needs and production readiness
• Communicate directly with drivers throughout the day
• Keep customers updated on deliveries, pickups, and schedule changes
• Work closely with Sales and Operations to make sure orders are ready and transportation is coordinated
• Coordinate third-party trucking when required
• Monitor trucks and trailers and coordinate trailer switches
• Track daily transportation activity and maintain accurate dispatch records
• Monitor ELD/Samsara information and communicate issues as they arise
• Assist with truck and trailer maintenance scheduling
• Support transportation documentation, including U.S. and cross-border shipments
• Help resolve delays, customer concerns, routing issues, and other problems quickly
• Ensure transportation activities follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations

You'll be the person connecting the customer who needs their pallets, the production team getting the order ready, and the driver getting it delivered. You'll need to think ahead, communicate clearly, and stay calm when plans change, which they inevitably do.

What We're Looking For:

• 2–3 years of experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, fleet, or a related environment
• Experience in manufacturing, trucking, or distribution is an asset
• Working knowledge of commercial trucking operations and Hours of Service requirements
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
• Experience with Samsara/ELD or similar systems is an asset
• Experience with Palletwise or similar systems is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities
• A calm, solutions-focused approach when things don't go according to plan 

$27.00 per hour.
