Commercial Janitorial Cleaner

Total Maintenance Solution is currently hiring multiple dependable and hardworking Commercial Cleaners to join our janitorial team at a large commercial facility.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, are reliable, pay close attention to detail, and are comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

Positions & Shifts

We are hiring for multiple shifts, including:

• Day Shift / Day Porter: Approximately 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Evening Shift: Approximately 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Weekend Positions: Saturday and Sunday coverage
• Additional shifts and hours may be available based on operational requirements.

Job Responsibilities

The Commercial Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and professional environment throughout the facility. Duties may include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing offices, washrooms, lunchrooms, common areas and employee spaces
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
• Emptying garbage and recycling containers
• Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces
• Cleaning tables, counters, doors, fixtures and other surfaces
• Restocking designated washroom and cleaning supplies
• Responding promptly to spills and other cleaning requirements
• Maintaining entrances, hallways and common areas
• Using cleaning products, equipment and machinery safely
• Following established cleaning schedules and checklists
• Following all health, safety and site-specific procedures
• Reporting maintenance, safety or sanitation concerns to the supervisor
• Maintaining a professional and respectful attitude while working at the client's facility

Qualifications

Previous commercial, industrial or janitorial cleaning experience is considered an asset; however, training may be provided.

Successful candidates should be:

• Reliable and punctual
• Hardworking and detail-oriented
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working in a commercial/industrial environment
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending and performing repetitive cleaning duties throughout the shift
• Able to follow instructions and established cleaning procedures
• Able to work respectfully as part of a team
• Available for the assigned schedule, including weekends where applicable
• Able to reliably travel to and from the workplace

Experience Requirement

Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of previous professional janitorial or commercial cleaning experience.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with commercial cleaning procedures, including washroom sanitation, floor care, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, garbage removal, surface disinfection, and the safe use of commercial cleaning products and equipment.

Experience working in large commercial, industrial, warehouse, food-service, or distribution facilities is strongly preferred.

Candidates must be able to work independently, follow established cleaning schedules and checklists, maintain consistent cleaning standards, and complete assigned duties efficiently with minimal supervision.

Salary & Compensation

Total Maintenance Solution offers competitive hourly compensation for experienced commercial janitorial professionals. The starting wage for this position is $20.00 per hour, based on the responsibilities and requirements of the role.

Employees will be paid in accordance with the company's regular payroll schedule and applicable Ontario employment standards.
