Position Overview

We are looking for an individual with a strong electrical design and technical troubleshooting background to support the continued growth of our EV charging business.

The successful candidate must be comfortable reading electrical drawings, understanding electrical distribution systems, applying the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and producing electrical drawings using AutoCAD. This is a hybrid technical and project coordination role combining Electrical Design with EV charger monitoring and troubleshooting, including service coordination, 

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day monitoring and service coordination of our EV charging network while supporting the Project Management team with electrical drawings an EV Charging designs.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Design & AutoCAD

• Prepare and revise Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for Level 2 and DC fast-charging installations.
• Prepare EV charger site layouts, equipment layouts and electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Review existing electrical services, panels, transformers, disconnects and distribution equipment.

EV Charger Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor 1,000+ EV charging ports through cloud-based network management platforms.
• Identify offline chargers, communication problems, hardware faults, and other operational issues.
• Perform remote diagnostics and troubleshooting and work with ChargePoint Technical Support.

Service Coordination

• Coordinate service calls between customers, technicians, and manufacturer technical support.
• Schedule and dispatch technicians for on-site service work.
• Request, receive, and track replacement parts.

Ideal Candidate

This position is particularly well suited to an Electrical Engineering Technician or Technologist who enjoys technical troubleshooting, electrical design/drafting, and coordinating projects and people.
