Job Description

Traveling throughout the County. General labour tasks, using weed eaters, traffic control (flagging), road maintenance, sign repair, washing vehicles, cleaning the shop, removing debris (animals) from the roads, and painting. Working indoors and outdoors required.

Position:  Transportation Patrol Student (8 Vacancies)

Competition number:   2024-19   

Location:  Public Works Department – Transportation Division (All 4 Patrols)

Employment Status:  Temporary Full-Time (early May 2024 - early September 2024)

Reporting to:  Patrol Foreperson

Union affiliation:  Non-Union

Education

GED

Experience Required

  • To be considered for a student position, you must currently be enrolled on a full-time basis at a postsecondary institution, and be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the fall of 2024.
  • G2 or G driver’s license and clean driving record
