Job Description
Responsible for promoting awareness of library programs and services at the library branches and through Ox on the Run, the library’s mobile outreach unit. This position will primarily work with children, teens, and families and assist with the library’s TD Summer Reading Program.
Education
Experience Required
- G2 or G driver’s licence, access to a vehicle, and a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
- Previous public library experience would be considered an asset
- The successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Library Studies, such as the MLIS, Library & Information Sciences or related discipline is preferred
- Experience providing excellent customer service
- A passion for reading and the library
- Enjoys working with children and youth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
