Job Description
Udderly Ridiculous Farm Life is a multi-award winning agri-tourism facility in Oxford County. We are set on an 85acre working farm. We run a farm market store stocking 95% Ontario products and we deliver a variety of highly rated animal-based experiences to our guests. We are rainbow registered and provide a safe and inclusive environment for our staff and guests. Our animals care and well being is our top priority - we are not a petting farm. We focus on enjoyable and educational interactive experiences where our guests can understand the animals personality, role in agriculture and the importance of rural living and food systems. Our staff work hard as a team alongside the founders to support our animals and provide 5 star experiences and interactions with our guests. The work is diverse, meaningful and provides an opportunity to our team members to grow professionally and personally.
This role will be supporting the store, the animals and delivering animal based experiences to our guests.
Duties include:
- Providing a 5 star experience to guests from arrival through departure
- Facilitating animal-based experiences with our goats, alpacas, Highland cattle & chickens
- Supporting the store on cash, check ins, keeping store and facility clean and stocked,
- Supporting animal care which may include, feeding, bedding, cleaning, animal health
Education
Experience Required
Role is onsite at our farm in Bright, ON experience working in tourism or similar environment, and working with animals is an asset.
Must have:
- Own transportation to get to the farm,
- Passion for animals and creating a 5* guest experience
- Confidence around animals
- Ability to be on feet walking, standing etc for long periods on uneven terrain
- Ability to manage difficult situations and problem solve
- Outgoing & friendly personality and able to facilitate information and manage a group dynamic with passion
- Team mentality but able to work independently & proactively
