Job Description
VDK Group is currently seeking to hire an Experienced Overhead Door Service Technician for both our residential and commercial overhead door departments. We are committed to supplying our customers with exceptional products and the best installation, technical and support services in the overhead doors, windows, and entry-doors market. Job Details:
- New construction and replacement installations of automatic and manual overhead doors in both commercial and residential applications
- Replacements of existing overhead doors and/or panels
- Service on existing overhead doors
- Determining issues on-site with installation or product (Strong problem-solving skills are required)
- Reporting to management to make sure correct parts are ordered to repair issues
- Operating and maintaining power tools and hand tools
- Work efficiently as part of a team to complete daily tasks and assignments
Education
Experience Required
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years experience installing/ servicing overhead doors
- 1-2 years general construction experience is an asset
- Must have a valid G class driver's license
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- WHMIS, Working at Heights, and Manlift Training is an asset.
