Job Description
We are currently seeking applications for a casual part time Recreation Facility Operator. Reporting to the Parks and Recreation Operations Supervisor, the Recreation Facility Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient day to day operations of the Township facilities. This includes the Tavistock arena, Tavistock Memorial Hall, Innerkip Community Centre and Hickson Community Hall, in order to provide the public and user groups with a clean, safe area in which to participate in recreational activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Tavistock Arena
- Ensures daily operations and ice maintenance
- Janitorial duties
- Responds to public inquires regarding facility
- Ongoing monitoring of the work environment to ensure compliance with health and safety policies, regulations and related regulatory codes
- Facilities (Municipal Halls )
- Ensures daily operations and maintenance to provide safe conditions of facility for renters
- Facilitates special events
- Responds to public inquires regarding facility
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications:
- 1- 2 years of experience in municipal recreation facilities
- Working knowledge of ice making equipment, ice maintenance
- Certified Ice Technician is an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid Class “G” Drivers licence
- A clean Criminal Record Check is required upon hire
