Accounting Assistant

McClay's Transportation Ltd. is looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team.  We are seeking someone with excellent computer and organizational skills.  This position will work closely with the Director of Finance, making sure all bills are paid in a timely manner and that all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.                                                                       Responsibilities:

*Perform clerical duties to support finance team

*Prepare and maintain financial records

*Follow and apply accounting policies and procedures

*Enter the financial data into the company accounting system

*Be proficient in standard office software, including word processing, power point and spreadsheet programs (Excel)

*Other duties as required

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, resourceful and efficient with intermediate Excel skills and accounting knowledge.  A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is considered and asset.  Completion of a Post-secondary program.
