Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Must have working knowledge and be self-sufficient in performing duties requiring welding, fitting, layout, gears (boxes), hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, electrical, rigging
  • Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and troubleshoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations
  • Mechanical knowledge of conveying systems, pumps, pneumatic controls
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and maintain other parts of machinery
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment
  • Work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety
  • Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
  • Support Manufacturing and Building PM programs
  • Must be able to work safely at heights
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical systems

Experience Required

Qualifications and skills

3+ years of Industrial Maintenance with experience in all or some of the following including, but not limited to:

  • Process control instrumentation and mechanical power transmission
  • Previous experience with piping systems including steam, Air, Water and Chemical
  • Knowledge of Boilers, HVAC & Wastewater treatment, and documentation in SAP system
  • Certified Millwright License 443A is required
  • Refrigerator “B” Operator or higher is an asset
  • Electrical, PLC training and experience is an asset.
