Job Description
The right person will have the following characteristics:
- You are a team player
- You are open minded, accepting of others’ differences
- You are creative in ways of introducing a variety of community experiences and activities to people
- You are able to provide daily living supports, supporting personal health care, mental health and wellness support, and dispensing medications accurately
- You are able to work professionally, interact well with others and are tolerant of others who may be intolerant of you
- You have excellent listening skills
- You have excellent communication and accurate writing skills
- You have a post-secondary degree/diploma in a social service field
- You have further education and training related to health, behavior specialties
- You have current First Aid, CPR and NVCI
- You have a valid Ontario driver’s license and a reliable car to use for work
- You have proven ability through experience to:
- Accommodate flexible supports
- Develop and follow individual support plans
- Provide support to individuals with a variety of abilities in their homes and community
