Job Description
Job Duties
- Work as a team in order to meet daily production requirements
- Verify all pick sheets by picking the proper parts as outlined and verifying completion by initially each pick sheet
- Continually verify Sequence Sheets during daily production
- Ensure quality of parts by completing quick visual checks on all parts prior to handling (KO and Local Parts Receiving) and by using proper handling techniques
- Complete check sheets each day prior to operation of overhead cranes and/or forklifts
- Fill in for other Team Members in the Logistics department when necessary as requested by Team Leader
- Assist with cross training other team members when requested by Team Leader
- Maintain equipment used in your area
- Participate in 5S and Kaizen activities within the Logistics department
- Perform other duties as required
Education
Experience Required
Experience:
- Full Time Team Member
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Hino production system, including Health and Safety, Quality, Standardized Work, Kaizen, and 5S
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a flexible manner and adapt to changes quickly
- Ability to problem solve and assist with fact finding and counter measure implementation
- Ability to make decisions in a timely and effective manner
- Ability to follow direction, work in a flexible manner, and adapt to changes quickly.
- Good attendance record
- No progressive discipline on file in the last year
- Forklift License and/or experience is an asset
- Overhead Crane experience is an asset, but not required
