 Tourism Development & Marketing Student

Be part of the Tourism team! The successful candidate will gain experience with business outreach, marketing (newsletter, social media, content creation, visitor inquiries), and strategy development. This includes handling customer inquiries (digital, phone, in person) and social media and content creation to assist visitors in market and during the travel planning phase. You will provide educational and entertainment opportunities during the month of May with Cheese Trail partners with our visitor information booth on Saturdays. You will also work on product development including encouraging market ready businesses to register for a free listing on www.TourismOxford.ca. You will also have the chance to work on content creation with the Tourism Officer and local businesses. Students are provided an opportunity to lead a project from start to finish, providing valuable work experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • To be considered for a student position, you must currently be enrolled on a full-time basis at a post-secondary institution, and be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the fall of 2024.
  • G2 or G driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
  • An interest in marketing/tourism, and a passion for Oxford County.
