Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Government Remittances, and other related duties. This is a full-time permanent position with benefits and RSP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable:
- Generating and issuing invoices using accounting software.
- Sending invoices to clients and following up on payments.
- Receiving and processing payments.
- Accounts Payable:
- Entering invoices into the accounting software.
- Reviewing statements and reconciling accounts.
- Processing payments to suppliers via cheque or credit.
- Payroll:
- Recording and entering hours for each employee.
- Processing electronic fund transfers for payroll.
- Other Duties:
- Handling payroll remittance and HST payments.
- Answering phone calls and directing inquiries.
- Managing the accounting email inbox.
- Working with spreadsheets on Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
- Utilizing QuickBooks Desktop Accounting System.
- Using software that integrates QuickBooks with our project management software system.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and organized.
Salary:
Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
