Job Description
Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Woodstock has an opening for a Sales Assistant to work directly with the Director of Sales.
In this position you are accountable for soliciting, selling, organizing and finalizing all arrangements for meetings, conventions and social functions and group bookings. Clerical duties will include sending contracts, following up on contracts, tracking reservations, entering groups, contracting for meeting rooms and ordering catering. Must be able to work independently and have strong organization skills in planning and prioritizing to meet deadlines. Must be able to read and interpret documents in English and must have sufficient computer skills to be able to use, in a proficient manner, certain Company-issued software programs implemented at the hotel, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Dropbox, Microsoft Outlook, Company-issued internet browser programs, and Company-issued electronic mail programs.
This position is currently part time but will move to full time between the two adjacent hotels, Holiday Inn Express hotel and Suites and Home2 Suites as it becomes fully operational.
