Job Description

Heart FM in Woodstock is seeking a hard-working and energetic individual for our Events Cruiser Position. As an Events Cruiser Representative, you will serve as an ambassador for the station, engaging with our listeners and delivering on-air reports. This position will often involve 30 or more hours per week, with a requirement to work every weekend between May and September. This position is open to young people aged 15-30 years.

In this role, you will spend 2 to 3 days a week working in the office. Responsibilities include scheduling your weekend itinerary, coordinating with event organizers to develop a plan for on-site presence, and participating in promotional or programming tasks as needed. This may encompass music scheduling, commercial production, and/or creative writing. It could also involve news reporting. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Energetic and outgoing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with little supervision in an independent setting
  • Desire to learn technical aspects of broadcast setups
  • Experience with updating websites and social media platforms
  • On-air experience is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Operate as an Events Cruiser, representing our brand with enthusiasm and energy
  • Drive to various locations for on-site events and promotions
  • Maintain a professional and engaging on-air presence when required
  • Update the company website and social media platforms with relevant content
  • Work independently and demonstrate maturity in handling responsibilities
