Job Description
Human Resources Summer Student
The Town of Tillsonburg is looking for a Human Resources Summer Student who will be responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department with administrative functions. This is a seasonal student position with an option to enroll in OMERS defined pension plan.
Start date: May 27, 2024.
End date: August 30, 2024.
Hourly rate: $16.55.
Weekly hours: 40.
Openings: 1

Responsibilities
• Assist with records management (personnel files, job class files, recruitment files, etc).
• Assist with the recruitment process (scan and save resumes, set up interviews, segregate candidates information, research and compile recruitment trends).
• Assist with preparing template documentation (update and edit form documents as directed by HR staff).
• Research, collect and compile data for various human resources initiatives.
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications
• University/College student in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.
• Proven ability to work independently and solve problems creatively.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to take and follow directions.
• Excellent research and editing skills.
• Experience with corporate office environments an asset.
• The successful applicant must provide a current Criminal Record Check from the Ontario Provincial Police.
