Job Description

HYDMECH CANADA Corp is the North American leader in the design and manufacturing of metal cutting bandsaws HYDMECH, a subsidiary of MEP SpA based in Italy which is part of Group Legris Industries based in France. You will be part of a global organization with locations in the US, Europe, China and South America where advancement from within the organization is supported. The Company is large enough to bring cross functional teams together to solve issues yet small enough that every individual’s efforts will make a difference.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, we have an immediate need for an Inventory Control Coordinator. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment. The key aspect of this role is as follows:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS: In this position, you will be primarily responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects related to inventory, ensuring operational continuity and efficiency.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring inventory levels as materials are issued and transferred within locations
  • Using manual or computerized systems to compile inventory reports and support the inventory turns/pulls into production operations
  • Entering data for inventory adjustments and reconciling physical inventories with computer counts
  • Responding quickly to material flow concerns within the plant
  • Entering Cycle Count journals in the inventory system
  • Assisting in the shipping receiving department with receiving, inspecting and entering incoming shipments.
  • Coordinating orders for outside subcontractors and Inter-co plant shipments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a similar role though we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and comprehension skills with attention to accuracy with details.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office, Outlook, Working knowledge in Excel an asset.
  • Familiarity with ERP-MRP systems and SAP software is an asset.
  • High School Diploma/equivalent
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada with no restrictions.
