Job Description
We are currently looking for a Welder - Fitter to join our team
The Welder-Fitter is responsible for the lay out, fit and fabrication of components to assemble Veenhuis trailers and other equipment as assigned and to ensure maintenance, repair, or reconditioning is completed in a timely manner in accordance with current codes, specifications and departmental policy and procedures.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, operating policies, procedures and instructions
- Expertise experience in assembly, fabrication and welding
- Effective problem solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions
- Good level of manual dexterity and hand / eye coordination
- Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as well as the ability to reach below, at and above shoulder height to repair and fabricate
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Welding Certification (Ticket) preferred.
Five years directly related work experience post journey person certification to include 3 years working in a mobile heavy equipment environment preferred.
