Job Description
- prepare and serve noon meal and snacks
- be aware of allergies/special diets and make concessions to menu as required for individuals
- prepare menu plan in cooperation with Manager
- maintain clean, safe work areas
- maintain in clean working order, all appliances and equipment in kitchen area - report necessary repairs needed
- adhere to Health and Safety guidelines for food and cleaning as set out by the Public Health Department, Fire Department, and or Ministry of Community and Social Services
- participate in workshops and training events of related content to the position
- prepare grocery and supply lists, make purchases ensuring value for money spent
- supervision of children as required
- other duties as assigned.
Education
Experience Required
Food Handlers= Certificate (Board of Health)
Cooking skills
Working knowledge of inclusive preschool environments
Ability to work as a team player and independently
Excellent communication skills: written, oral, listening and non-verbal
Current First Aid & C.P.R.
