Job Description
Upper Thame Brewing Company is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Craft Beer lover to join their team in the Brewhouse.
Job Duties:
Brewing:
- Completing brew from start to finish
- CIP of kettle and heat exchanger
- Milling, preparing brewhouse for next brew
- Regular cleaning duties
Cellaring:
- Monitoring fermentation of beer
- Measuring various parameters such as CO2, gravity, etc.
- Kegging and canning beer
- Transferring beer from fermenter to brite tank
- CIP of fermenters and brite tanks
- Packaging beer on our CODI counter pressure canning line
General Duties:
- Deliveries to our Brewpub as well as local licensees & LCBOs
- Staffing the UTBC tent at beer festivals
- Cleaning & organizing of the warehouse area
- Miscellaneous tasks such as returning empties, etc.
Education
Experience Required
- Must be 18 years or older (Smart Serve an asset)
- Must have certificate in Brewing Sciences or Commercial Brewing Experience
- Ability to follow instructions and multi-task while remaining focused.\Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (up to 10-hour shift)
- Attention to detail and strong dedication to quality.
- Exceptional time management and problem solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical capability to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height
