Job Description

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is actively seeking applicants for Medical Laboratory Technologist position.

Qualifications:

  • Certification with Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
  • Current registration or eligible as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario with authorization to practice relevant specialties in Laboratory Medicine.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a medical laboratory preferred
  • Demonstrated computer literacy (i.e. Cerner);
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to fulfill commitment of 12 hour shifts;
  • Demonstrated accuracy, organizational and multi-tasking skills;
  • Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain effective relationships within healthcare teams;
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to personal, patient and staff safety;
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis;
  • Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Other pertinent conditions:

  • Must be available to work all shifts as required which may include weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings, and night shifts.
  • Hours are subject to change based on the needs of Laboratory Services and the hospital.
  • Salary per the Non-Union Salary Schedule ($36.84 per hour to $50.24 per hour)
