Job Description
Upper Thame Brewing Company is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Craft Beer lover to join their team in the Brewhouse.
Job Duties:
Brewing:
○ Completing brew from start to finish
○ CIP of kettle and heat exchanger
○ Milling, preparing brewhouse for next brew
○ Regular cleaning duties
Cellaring:
○ Monitoring fermentation of beer
○ Measuring various parameters such as CO2, gravity, etc.
○ Kegging and canning beer
○ Transferring beer from fermenter to brite tank
○ CIP of fermenters and brite tanks
○ Packaging beer on our CODI counter pressure canning line
General Duties:
○ Deliveries to our Brewpub as well as local licensees & LCBOs
○ Staffing the UTBC tent at beer festivals
○ Cleaning & organizing of the warehouse area
○ Miscellaneous tasks such as returning empties, etc.
Education
Experience Required
Requirements:
● Must be 18 years or older (Smart Serve an asset)
● Must have certificate in Brewing Sciences or Commercial Brewing Experience
● Ability to follow instructions and multi-task while remaining focused.
● Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (up to 10-hour shift)
● Attention to detail and strong dedication to quality.
● Exceptional time management and problem solving skills.
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
● Physical capability to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height
