Basic Responsibilities:
For over 50 years the Townsend-Penner Group of Companies has produced high quality lumber. Townsend Lumber is dedicated to procuring logs from woodlots that have been responsibly harvested and also owns and manages their own selectively harvested woodlots. This ensures that only the finest quality timber is processed, which in turn makes the highest quality Canadian hardwood lumber. Since starting their first sawmill business in 1959 the Townsend family has set the benchmark in dedication to producing some of the finest quality Canadian hardwood lumber.
We're currently expanding our operation and are looking for candidates for a Maintenance Mechanic. The ideal candidate will be able to work a flexible schedule and have experience troubleshooting, fabricating, welding, reading schematics and blueprint interpretation, and repair of production equipment. A red seal millwright is not necessarily required provided the maintenance experience is evident).

Experience Required
Work Setting: Sawmill / Lumber Yard.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding role, manual dexterity, Handling heavy loads, repetitive tasks, standing for extended period of time.
Weight Handling: Up to 45kg (100 lbs).
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
Compensation and Benefits
Payrate: $19.70 - $35.00 Hourly based on experience
Benefits: Blue Cross package after 6-months
Pension: Pension package after 12-months
