Job Description

Employer looking for an experienced Chef with a minimum of 5 years culinary experience.

Job Duties:

Cooking-preparation of simple pub food menu items in a timely fashion, following menu specifications.
Preparation of large batch recipes.
Knife skills.
Experience working with fryer, grill and cold stations.
Experience with expediting.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients and procedures.
Stocking stations and preparing for service.
Inventory and ordering.
Supervising the kitchen and managing kitchen staff.*Assisting the Head Chef with menu creation.

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Skills and requirements:

*Ability to follow instructions and multi-task while remaining focused.

*Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (up to 12-hour shifts).

*Attention to detailand strong dedication to quality.

*Exceptional time-management and problem solving skills.

*Exceptional leadership and delegation skills.

*Exceptional problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

*Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

*Physical capability to lift heavy items over the course of shifts.
